Clansman Remote Personal Unit (RPU)
The Clansman remote personal unit (RPU) is carried around the neck on the webbing strap. It gives access to the harness with intercom and radio facilities or direct in to a radio, both at distance up to 3 KM using twin cable (D10) or 5 KM using CT-10 cable.
Call is available when working harness or radio direct. It is used with ear-defending headgear and is fitted with snatch release from both headgear and neck-strap.

Wireless Set No. 88 AFV Type A
Wireless Set No. 88 was the first British developed tactical VHF-FM Radio set. Light weight Manpack Transceiver developed in the late 40's as a replacement for the No. 38 Set. An amazing feat of engineering to cram in 14 Tubes into such a small space. It's primary use was for short range Infantry and Company / Platoon communications.
Frequency range 38.01-42.15 MHz. RF output power 0.25 Watts. Crystal Controlled FM. Transmitting Range up to 2 miles. Type A has 4 pre-set crystal controlled channels operating on 40.20 Mhz, 40.90 Mhz, 41.40 Mhz and 42.15 Mhz. Power requirements are 90V.......

Clansman Commanders Personal Unit (CPU)
The Clansman Commanders Personal Unit (CPU) which is held by a webbing strap around around the commanders neck. It gives access to the harness with intercom and radio facilities or direct in to a radio. Call is available when working harness or radio direct. It is used with ear-defending headgear and is fitted with snatch release from both headgear and neck-strap. NSN: 5820-99-117-5043. Supplied in good condition.
