Hello, I have just got interested in collecting Chinese Military radios, I have coming in a (N0S) 102E set , all in like new condition, units are still factory sealed. The transmitter is the type 81, will run off a hand generator which I also have, I have all the pieces for the station, but the receiver which is a type 139, requires a type 81 dry cell battery , 90 volts with a 1.5 volt for lamp lights, This battery is not made or available anymore so need to find a way to power the receiver, It does come with a power cord, so you can supply the proper voltages to that and it should power up the radio. I am looking for any ham operator or collector who owns these units and can give advice on getting them up and running, I would also consider options to run the transmitter besides the hand crank generator. If I can locate even a dead battery, there is a company in the US that can possibly make a reproduction unit as they speacialize in making custom military batteries with the proper taps if needed for the proper voltages. Any help or advice would be appreciated, I have been told that many of these units have been sold in the last year off of Ebay and I am sure they were not all just for show on a shelf. Please email me at crokc@comcast.net if you can help with this, I am also good on Qrz;d data base. I would also consider a newer 139A transistor set, as it can run off of just D cells and has no tubes, If you have one of those for sale I would be interested in hearing from you.
