Post Need help with identifying radio station
It is difficult to tell from the photo, but from the shape of the radio it could be a PRC-8, or a PRC-9 or a PRC-10 radio, these radios looked the same but worked different bands, see this picture.

Post A-41 & A-42 British Radios
The A-41 & A-42 were the British version of the American PRC-10 & PRC-9 radios. They look more or less the same.

PRC-8 >>>> 20.0 to 27.9 MHz
A-42 & PRC-9 >>>> 27.0 to 38.9 MHz
A-41 & PRC-10 >>>> 38.0 to 54.9 MHz

Post Re: Need help with identifying radio station
Hi, I have just joined this site and think that picture may be a PRC344 Ground to Air VHF radio. It looks very familiar to one I just passed to a friend.

Hope this helps

No, The PRC-344 is completly different radio set to the one in the picture above. The 344 had the audio plugs to the side, The picture has the audio / handset plug to the top. The 344 is a modernish British radio set.

In the picture he is wearing a old American uniform and helmet, This radio setup looks very much like a American PRC-8 or PRC-9 or a PRC-10. Exactly which one, i don't know as these radios looked exactly the same, but had different freq. ranges.
